Definition
- Compression injury to distal radius
- Also known as a torus injury
Features
- Disruption of cortical bone occurs with only minimal compromise of the bones integrity

Investigations
- X-Ray
- Ensure all corticies are intact in all planes of view AP and lateral
Management
- Splint for 3 week
- Below elbow backslab
- Or removable wrist splint
- Generally no follow up review or x-ray is required
