Definition

-  Anatomical triangle used to identify site of cystic artery, defined by:

-  Common hepatic duct medially

-  Cystic duct inferiorly

-  Liver edge anteriorly

 

Features

-  Cystic artery passes through triangle from common hepatic artery medially to gallbladder laterally

-  Important land mark when performing Laparascopic cholecystectomies

-  Clipped & transacted to remove gallbaldder

-  Also contains Calots Node (lymph node)

-  May be enlarged in Cholecystitis or Cholangitis
