-  Indicated if: severe or prolonged cases, third trimester pregnancy, immunocompromised, infants, frail elderly

-  Azithromycin 500mg (child 10mg/kg) PO Daily 3/7

-  OR Ciprofloxacin 500mg (child 12.5mg/kg) PO 12/24 3/7

-  OR Norfloxacin 400mg (child 10mg/kg) PO 12/24 5/7

-  Asymptomatic contacts do not need stool MCS or Abx

-  Notifiable illness to Department of Health in Australia
