-  Opaque sterile nonbreathable waterproof adhesive dressing

 

Features

-  Contains gel-forming agents

-  In presence of exudates form gel

-  Provides moist environment to promote wound healing

-  Usually allow for bathing as waterproof

-  One of most widely used dressing

-  Usually changed every 3-5 days

Indications

-  Clean, granulating wounds with low to moderate exudate

 

Contraindications

-  Wounds with high exudates

-  Infected wounds
