Indications

- Pelvic trauma

- Pelvic fracture

   

Procedure

- Patient position stabilised

- Remove objects from pockets

- Thread splint under pelvis, lift legs as needed

- Hold orange side of buckle

- Thread black side of buckle though catch

- Tighten buckel strap until clicks to position

- Maintain tension then secure straps to binder (velcro)

- Should not be removed until in setting to manage pelvic trauma
