Features

-  Application of negative pressure dressing to wound

-  Actively promotes tissue granulation

-  Also acts as wound drain

 

Procedure

-  Compressible foam cut to fit wound site

-  May be placed over site & cut as per blood outline

-  Foam applied to wound +/- skin staples to hold in situ

-  Film dressing/s placed over foam & attached to skin around edges

-  Ensure complete seal of film dressing

-  Incise central part of film dressing over foam

-  Place VAC dressing over incision site

-  Apply suction to tubing on VAC dressing

-  Ensure no air leak
